The association has hired heather sharar as their executive director. She handles all day to day management and administrative duties.

Members or stockholder classes and rights Part VI line 6

The organization has four classes of membership: active - licensed ems agencies; affiliate - supplier of products and services; individual - certified ems providers; and honorary - individuals who have rendered distinguished service to the industry. Only active and affiliate members have the right to vote.

Member election for additional members Part VI line 7A

In July of every year, a consent and willingness to serve form is sent to the entire membership. In the odd years, the odd numbered regions and one at large rep are elected and on the even years, the even numbered regions and the other at large rep are elected. If the members sends back a signed consent and willingness to serve form, they will appear on the ballot in their region and/or at large, their choice.The ballots are sent to the entire membership and they vote for their region (if up for election that year) and at large. The ballots are counted by 2 members who are not running and not on the board at the Leadership conference.Terms are 2 years.

Governing body decisions Part VI line 7B

Issues moved by a majority vote at the general membership meeting, other than proposed changes to the bylaws, are presented to the board as a recommendation. The board will vote on all recommendations but do not have to accept unless they are made at annual meeting or presented in petition form signed by two-thirds of the active membership.

The executive committee of the board reviews the financial statements and tax returns before a meeting of the full board, at which time the review and return are presented.

The conflict of interest policy and procedures are required to be signed annually by the board, committee chairs and staff. The required individuals must disclose any matter which may pose a conflict of interest. The board reviews the documents and determines if a conflict exists.
