Line 1 briefly describe the organization's mission or most significant activities: southwestern pennsylvania human services, inc. Has been providing a wide variety of human services to individuals and families throughout butler, fayette, greene, washington and westmoreland counties for over 60 years. Today, the sphs system includes child care, aging programs, homeless and housing services, services for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health treatment and care, substance abuse treatment and care, homeless assistance, home health care, nutrition services, and family support services.

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

All of the entities of the organization qualify as tax-exempt, not-for- profit organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Accordingly, there is no provision for federal or state income taxes. The organization accounts for uncertainties in income taxes in accordance with authoritative guidance, which prescribes a recognition threshold of more-likely-than-not to be sustained upon examination by the appropriate taxing authority. Management has determined that there were no tax uncertainties that met the recognition threshold at june 30, 2024 and 2023.
