Mission

The mercer county behavioral health commission, inc. Is a private, non-profit organization that assists individuals and families experiencing substance abuse, mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or developmental challenges through the administation, coordination, and delivery of a service system committed to promoting recovery and improving the quality of life of those served.

To assist mercer county by serving as the single county authority to administrate, coordinate, and deliver a cost-effective, behavioral health managed care program to reduce the incidence and prevalence of substance abuse and misuse as well as improve the quality of life of adults and children with mental illnesses.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

It is the policy of the organization to require that all members of the board of directors and officers disclose business practices or conduct that could constitute a conflict between their personal interests and the interests of the organization. The organization's executive office, through the administrative assistant regularly monitors and updates the organization's conflict of interest policy, providing the directors with copies at a board meeting. Board directors and officers update their disclosures annually. Potential conflicts of interest involving directors and officers are identified and addressed in order to assure that the organization is treated fairly in all its business dealings.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

Annually, the board approves the agency budget with detail review of wages and benefit line items. The board approves average wage adjustments. Ceo approves the merit based system for management and staff through evaluation tools done by the direct supervisor. The board president, with input from the board, completes and reviews the ceo's performance and approves any salary adjustment. Cola's are reviewed each year and salary ranges adjusted to stay current. Market surveys have been used and adjustments to ranges are done anually.
