Vincentian de marillac was founded in 1943 and is nestled on 15 acres in stanton heights. With only 50 beds, this senior care community provides a lovely rural and intimate setting within the city. Vincentian de marillac is a ministry of vincentian collaborative system - a catholic health and human services organization headquartered in the north hills of pittsburgh coordinating the work of three senior care communities - vincentian home, vincentian de marillac, and marian manor - two child development centers, a rehabilitation company, and an independent living community, vincentian villa and a charitable foundation. Vincentian regency is currently utilized as a storage facility for the system.in the catholic tradition and following in the footsteps of st. Vincent de paul and st. Louise de marillac, vincentian de marillac provides a full range of quality programs that are compassionate, comprehensive, affordable, dignified, and strongly spiritual in nature.
Vincentian de marillac is a member of the vincentian system, a catholic health and human services organization headquartered in the north hills of pittsburgh that offers a continuum of highly-rated senior care services at multiple locations across allegheny county, including independent living, skilled nursing, short term rehab, long term care, personal care and memory care. The vincentian system is comprised of vincentian home and vincentian regency in the north hills, marian manor in the south hills and vincentian de marillac and vincentian schenley gardens in the city of pittsburgh. Additionally, the system includes two child development centers and included two outpatient rehabilitation locations until their closure on 08/01/22. Each year, the vincentian system collectively contributes to the local community by providing more than $11.4 million in benevolent care, serving approximately 2,000 seniors, more than 200 children and providing high-quality jobs to more than 800 people.

“The system, the homes, vincentian collaborative system rehabilitation services, and the center are not-for-profit organizations as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and are exempt from federal income taxes on their exempt income under section 501(a) of the internal revenue code. The organization follows the provisions of the income taxes topic of the fasb accounting standards codification that pertains to accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. These provisions clarify the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an oragnization's financial statements and prescribe a recognition threshold of more-likely-than-not to be sustained upon examination by the appropriate tax authority. Measurement of the tax uncertainty occurs if the recognition threshold has been met. These provisions also provide guidance on de-recognition, classification, interest and penalties, and disclosure. Management has determined that these provisions do not have a material effect on the consolidated financial statements. The organization's federal returns of organization exempt from income tax are subject to possible examination by the taxing authorities until the expiration of the related statutes of limitations on those returns, which is generally three years.”
