Profile

BeeHive Grange #385 works towards the advancement of agriculture and the improvement of rural life by providing a community center to facilitate other non-profits such as 4-H, FFA, Bordering on the Edge Quilters, and other community-based non-profits. The grange movement started right after the Civil War to help farmers learn new and productive agricultural practices. The Grange organization let Women vote right after starting because of the integral way that women were involved in small family farms. Since women had such a big role in small family farms, it was important for women to have a vote within the organization. This was before women were legally able to vote for our nation. The grange believes in small town roots and rural values. We support youth organizations such as Grange Youth,4-H, and FFA in their agricultural leadership. We also support Bordering on the Edge Quilters, Music organizations, Choirs, and any other non-profit organization that may need a place to meet.
