Jersey counselling & housing development, inc. (jchd) is engaged in maintaining multiple scattered sites in south jersey by removing eyesores, providing lawn services and securing vacant properties that was managed under jchd in the city of camden. Currently, the agency is partnering with another community nonprofit to sell the vacant properties for rehabilitation with the goal in promoting neighborhood revitalization. Also, jchd provides comprehensive property management services for lumberton independent living campus an affordable housing development in burlington county for seniors and disabled residents. As a managing housing consultant for bellmawr senior housing, jchd provides administrative assistance for the ongoing operating for this affordable housing development.

Jchd is a nonprofit organization exempt from income tax under section 501 (c)3 of the internal revenue code and classified by the internal revenue service as other than a private foundation. Accordingly, there is no provision for income taxes in the accompanying financial statements. Jchd follows the accounting guidance for uncertain tax positions. Jchd believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements.
