Illinois Council Against Handgun

In fullfilling the requirement of a 501(c)(3) organization, the illinois council against handgun violence (ichv) continues to address the impact of firearms availablity and use on homicide, suicide, preventable incidents and communities as a whole through speaking engagements across illinois. The council focuses on the many faces and facets of the gun violence issue, from health care to business to child advocacy. These people speak often at community forums, schools, conferences and through the various television, radio and print media. The networking and education program of ichv reaches out to a variety of professional and community organizations throughout the state of illinois. The program provides these organizations with information on the impact of gun violence through publications, conferences and seminars.
