The consultant compares agency salaries to various compensation surveys and publicized salary rates. HR Committee, Finance Committee make recommendations to the Board who votes on salaries.

Form 990, Part III, Line 4D: Other Program Services Description

OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Technology At HomeCurrys Senior Vitality Program reduces isolation and improves health outcomes by providing a computer tablet, software for health management, social media connectivity and training. Seniors are also provided with connections and internet at home. During Covid all in-person tech classes were converted to online classes. A YouTube channel was also created for continued access to tech education. On-site group classes resumed in 2021 at half capacity and with all required safety precautions in place. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Case Management The Curry Senior Center Case Management team links elders to appropriate support, enabling them to remain living independently in their home. This includes assistance with receiving meals, homemaking, benefit paperwork, housing applications and much more. In 2021-22, over 400 older adults benefitted from case management services. The program also scheduled escorts and rides to appointments, coordinating, on average, 133 rides per month. During Covid Curry worked with a reduced number of homeless seniors as many were housed in the Covid-funded Shelter-in-Place hotels. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Home-Based Supportive ServicesCurry provides a variety of home-based services including on-site supportive activities to 150 formerly homeless residents at the Cadillac Hotel. Currys Wellness Nursing program is based at the hotel providing referral and supportive health care and linkage to primary and specialty health care. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Senior Housing Curry Senior Center provides 13 units of permanent housing for formerly homeless seniors. During 2021-22, the overall occupancy rate was approximately 90%. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Dining RoomIn 2021-22, 1,118 seniors participated in the daily breakfast and lunch program. Due to Covid most meals were to-go. At the beginning of 2022 older adults providing proof of vaccination were able to eat in the Dining Room, though with only two seniors per table instead of the pre-Covid six per table. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: During the fiscal year 2021-2022Curry Senior Center served approximately 3,500 older adults (age 55 and older) and provided a range of health, social service, nutrition, Covid mitigation, and housing support in 2021-22. At the start of the 2021-22 year. Curry continued to operate under the restrictions placed by the Covid-19 pandemic though changed or loosened up the restrictions in early 2022 in accordance with governmental guidance. Curry contributed significant resources to enable clients and patients to receive remote services at home. As activities opened up and more older adults were allowed on-site, Curry transitioned to hybrid programs for most senior group activities.

Programs were provided in partnership with the Community Living Campaign, Community Technology Network, Open House, Self-Help for the Elderly, and the Shanti Project. Staff also assist with translation in the Primary Care Clinic to ensure accurate communication between medical providers and clients. Covid restrictions greatly impacted group activities, one of the most popular programs at Curry Senior Center. Staff did spend additional time in translation and support services, essentially one-on-one work with older adults.
