The Rosedale Civic Association is part of a large family of local organizations that work together to ensure that the community of Rosedale is vibrant and safe. In existence since 1946, when Rosedale was still a bucolic community, the Rosedale Civic Association has continuously maintained its mission to preserve and enhance the quality of life of this Southeastern Queens suburban enclave within New York City boundaries, west of Nassau County. Its monthly meetings have been a regular forum for discussion of community issues, including the appropriate sharing of critical information pertaining to availability of services, effective ways to access those services, and documentation of the needs in changing times. The Association continuously interfaces with local, state and federal elected officials about the actual or potential community problems, or emerging issues as the population demographics change with the influx of the younger families with school-age children and the graying of the long-term residents. To effectively achieve its mission and meet its updated goals and objectives, the Association publishes a monthly Newsletter, sponsors and coordinates the operation of the Rosedale Volunteer Civilian Patrol, supports multiple youth activities directly or through other legitimate community organizations, arranges for special conferences, seminars and/or workshops by knowledgeable speakers and/or experts in relevant areas, including but not limited to crime prevention, neighborhood preservation, block stabilization and improvement, economic development, community beautification, and enhancement of quality of life. The Rosedale Civic Association is part of a large family of local organizations that work together to ensure that the community of Rosedale is vibrant and safe. In existence since 1946, when Rosedale was still a bucolic community, the Rosedale Civic Association has continuously maintained its mission to preserve and enhance the quality of life of this Southeastern Queens suburban enclave within New York City boundaries, west of Nassau County.
