Conventions: the igpa sponsors, promotes, hosts, and/or attends various state, regional, and national metings and conventions each year. Annual conventions include the national association of wheat growers (nawg) fall and winter board of directors meetings and the annual commodity classic convention. In addition, the igpa attends two (winter and summer) national board meetings annually of the national barley growers association, one national board meeting and legislative day with the alliance for rail competition group, and other strategic meetings or trips to gather information and/or to testify on issues specific to the grain industry. The igpa hosts an annual state convention for idaho grain growers and affiliated agribusinesses serving as an education forum on issues, trends, and projections in the grain industry. This convention currently includes counterpart groups from neighboring states of oregon and washington.
