Mission

To maximize community resources and mobilize the caring power to help people in need in Becker County, MN.

The most significant activity of the United Way is to raise funds through a volunteer effort. Those funds are then distributed to health and welfare programs that address the needs of people in Becker County and are administered through non-profit agencies.

At the beginning of each new term, board members are reviewed by the executive director for conflict of interest. Each board member is asked to disclose any conflict of interest should one arise.

Each year an evaluation form is sent to each board member along with current wage information and comparative wages for other United Ways. Evaluations are completed and returned to the President. Compensation is then discussed and voted on at a regular board meeting.
