General explanation attachment

As required and voted on by the cecil township board: cecil township will no longer provide a tax contribution to the cecil township volunteer fire department (cvfd). In 2021 the tax contribution was $206,407.47 and for 2022, it was $10,000.00 as reflected on the 2022 form 990. In addition, as of august 1, 2022, the cecil township board will also take over many of the cecil township volunteer fire department expenses that were normally paid by the fire department. Cecil township municipality has eliminated the donation of the fire tax that was previously given to the cecil twp vfd on an annual basis. As a result, they have taken over many of the major expenses that have been paid by this organization in the past.
