Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 6

The bto is organized with members. All holders of business licenses issued by the town of breckenridge shall be eligible for membership without payment of any additional membership fee. Other persons or entities eligible for membership, but not holding a license, shall be required to pay membership fees. In 2023, the organization developed an optional paid partnership program for members to enhance their destination stewardship programs. The organziation contributes marketing and management expertise, reusable bags, and advertising incentives to members for 150.

A copy of the form 990 is provided to the board before it is filed. In addition, the form 990 is reviewed by the secretary/treasurer and accounting manager prior to its signing and filing.

The board of directors enforces the conflict of interest policy by requiring annual disclosure by board and/or staff members that may have a conflict of interest. In addition, at the beginning of every board meeting, all directors are asked whether any items on the agenda might provide any conflicts of interest, and if so, the member is asked to recuse themselves from any discussion of the item.

Compensation for the organization's chief executive officer is determined by looking at comparable compensation for similar positions in similar organizations in the state of colorado. The executive committee of the board of directors meets annually to evaluate and approve compensation. The most recent compensation package was approved in 2023.
