The coalition regularly displays artwork in the hallways and common areas of the neighborhood empowerment center. The art is created by local artists and is displayed as a public exhibition and for educational purposes. On occasion, an artist will contribute one the displayed works to the coalition. The coalition does not capitalize donated works of art or recognize them as revenue or gain as they are held for public exhibition, rather than financial gain.

Schedule D, Page 2, Part IV, Line 2B

1 - the organization is holding 1,900 in escrow for security deposits received from tenants. 2 - the organization is holding 38,295 received from a donation to be used as subsidy to support a rental property that the organization was a developer on. The organization does not manage the property, but they are holding these funds as a fiduciary and using them for costs related to the project.

The coalition evaluates all significant tax positions under a more likely than not threshold as required by us generally accepted accounting principles. As of december 31, 2015, the coalition does not believe that it has taken any tax positions that would require the recording of any additional tax liability nor does it believe that there are any unrealized tax benefits that would either increase or decrease withing the next twelve months. The coalition's tax returns are subject to examination by the appropriate taxing jurisdictions. At december 31, 2016, the coalition's federal tax returns generally remain open for the last three years.
