“Form 990, Part VI, Line 6 All individuals who hold a degree from Rowan University or any of its previous names are members of the Rowan University Alumni Association. The Board of Directors shall have the authority to grant honorary membership to individuals who did not graduate from Rowan University but whose contributions to the University are noteworthy. Honorary members shall not have voting privileges, nor shall they hold elective office in the Association. Election of honorary members shall be by majority vote of the board of directors at a regularly held board meeting and shall be for life.”

“Form 990, Part VI, Line 7a The Membership Committee shall nominate at least one candidate for each position to be filled. The President of the Association board of directors shall conduct the election of Directors. Directors shall be elected by a majority of those present at the meeting.”

ACCOUNTING SERVICES PROVIDES ALL THE FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO THE PAID TAX PREPARER BASED ON ALUMNI'S AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AS WELL AS THE RECORDS OF ROWAN UNIVERSITY'S ACCOUNTING SYSTEM FOR ALUMNI. ACCOUNTING SERVICES CONTACTS ALUMNI'S OFFICERS AND STAFF TO OBTAIN ANSWERS TO THE NON-FINANCIAL QUESTIONS AND PROVIDES THIS INFORMATION TO THE PAID TAX PREPARER. A DRAFT OF THE FORM 990 IS REVIEWED BY ACCOUNTING SERVICES PERSONNEL. A COPY OF THE COMPLETED FORM 990 IS PROVIDED TO RELEVANT ROWAN UNIVERSITY PERSONNEL PRIOR TO ITS FILING WITH THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE.”

“Form 990, Part VI, Line 19 THE GOVERNING DOCUMENTS AND FINANCIAL STATEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY OF ROWAN UNIVERSITY APPLIES TO ROWAN UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. ROWAN UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION DOES NOT HAVE A SEPARATE CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY.”
