Mission

The WSCC Foundation was established in 1971 to promote, establish, maintain, & operate educational activities for West Shore Community College, its students, & the many communities the College serves. Foundation Goals: Provide financial assistance for students, support educational and cultural program development, and encourage academic & professional development.

West Shore Community College Foundation exists to raise funds to support College activities. The Foundation's mission is to provide the extra resources that help WSCC achieve greatness.

The Foundation has evaluated its income tax filing position for fiscal years 2013 through 2016, the years which remain subject to examination by major tax jurisdictions as of June 30, 2016. The Foundation concluded that there are no significant uncertain tax positions requiring recognition in the Foundation's financial statements. The Foundation does not expect the total amount of unrecognized tax benefits (UTBs) to significantly increase or decrease in the next twelve months. The Foundation does not have any amounts accrued for interest and penalities related to UTBs at June 30, 2016 and 2015 and it is not aware of any claims for such amounts by federal or state income tax authorities.
