The greater hartford arts council's ("ghac") mission is to inspire all people to participate and invest in the arts. Ghac serves connecticut's capital region by connecting people to the arts, providing financial resources and support services for arts and cultural institutions, as well as a range of community programs. Ghac is one of the largest independent arts council in new england, combining the fundraising and grant making functions of a united arts agency with a wide range of programs and services that are often found in a state or municipal cultural commission.
