“The organization has active and retired members. Active members shall consist of persons who are members of the poudre fire fighters local 1945. Retired members shall consist of active members in good standing who have retired for any reason from the department and who pay an annual fee and are entitled to the privileges expressly set forth in the governing documents.”

“Active members of poudre fire fighters local 1945 elect the members of the governing body.”

“Active fire fighter members vote to ratify the collective bargaining agreement between the poudre fire authority and the poudre fire fighters local 1945.”

“There are no committees with the authority to act on behalf of the governing body.”

“Prior to filing, the treasurer reviews the return in detail. Once the treasurer has review the return, a copy is provided to the board of directors for their review and approval before filing.”

“The organization's conflict of interest policy covers all officers, directors, and any member conducting the organization's business. Each covered member is required annually to sign a conflict-of-interest statement. The board shall regularly and consistently monitor and enforce compliance with the policy by reviewing annual statements and taking such other actions as are necessary for effective oversight. The existence of any actual or potential conflict of interest is reviewed by the board. If conflicts are determined, the person with the conflict is excluded from the meeting/decisions and will refrain from voting on the matter.”

“Compensation paid to officers and board members is reviewed annually by the governing body. Compensation levels are determined based on review of comparable compensation for similarly qualified persons in similarly situated organizations as well as the individual's performance.”

“The organization makes its governing documents and financial statements available to the public upon request.”
