PART V, LINE 4:

Endowment fund assets and income are restricted to its use in accordance with donor stipulations and include use for appropriated expenditures for repairs and maintenance of various shelter and facilities. As of june 30, 2021 donor stipulations on endowment funds have been released.

PART X, LINE 2:

Hale kipa is a nonprofit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is exempt from federal and state income taxes. Hale kipa has been classified as an entity that is not a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a) and qualifies for deductible contributions as provided in section 170(b)(1)(a)(vi). Hale kipa recognizes the financial statement effects from a tax position only after determining that the relevant tax authority would more likely than not sustain the position after an audit based on technical merits of the position. Hale kipa has not identified any uncertain tax positions in filed returns that require disclosure in the accompanying financial statements. Hale kipa is not subject to income taxes in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction and the state of hawaii. Tax regulations within each jurisdiction are subject to interpretation of the related tax laws and regulations and require significant judgment to apply.

SUPPORTIVE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO THE YOUTH WHILE IN PLACEMENT AS WELL AS FOR THE FAMILIES. SERVICED APPROXIMATELY 27 YOUTHS.
