“The sightlife form 990 is prepared by an independent account firm and reviewed by the organization's management and finance committee. Once approved, the document is distributed to the board of directors.”

An officer or director is rxpected to report any material actual or potential conflict to the full board of directors for their determination and enforcement. Likewise, any actual or potential coflict on behalf of a sightlife employee will be communicated to executive management for investigation and resolution. If a conflict exists, the officer or trustee shall recuse themeselves from voting on the matter. Although all employees were paid through sightlife's tax id until december 31, 2023, all operations had been transferred to lwvi.”

“In august 2022, lions world vision institute (lwvi) obtained control of sightlife through a reorganization of sightlife's governance structure. This reorganization gave lwvi the ability to appoint a majority of the voting members of sightlife. There was no consideration paid as part of the acquisition. At july 1, 2023, sightlife transferred all net assets of the organization to lwvi and ceased primary operations. All expenses of sightlife for the year ended june 30, 2024, including payroll, were incurred and paid by lwvi on their behalf.”
