Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The housing foundation phase i and ii have been granted tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Therefore, no provision for income taxes has been charged to operations in the current year. The project is not a private foundation because it receives a substantial part of its support from a governmental unit. Management has determined that the project does not have any uncertain tax positions and associated unrecognized benefits or liabilities that materially impact the financial statements or related disclosures. Since tax matters are subject to some degree of uncertainty, there can be no assurance that the project's tax returns will not be challenged by the taxing authorities and that the project will not be subject to additional tax, penalties and interest as a result of such challenge. Generally, the project's tax returns remain subject to examination for three years after they were filed which includes the tax years ending september 30, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
