“The Form 990 was prepared by the outside accountants and reviewed by the Executive Director and the Director of Finance and Administration. The board President and board Treasurer also reviewed the return for accuracy and completeness. The Form 990 was then distributed to the full board for any additional comments prior to its filing.”
“Annually, every board member and officer are required to sign the conflict of interest acknowledgement. If a conflict of interest arises, disclosure is submitted to the President of the board or Executive Director by the board member/officer before recusing themselves. The President/Executive Director then determines whether a conflict exists and communicates their determination to the member/officer who reported the conflict.”
“The Executive Director's salary is determined by the board of directors. The salary is established based upon comparable salaries for similar positions, considering other factors, including organization size, type, budget, and geography. Periodic surveys of Executive Director salary ranges are reviewed by the President for consideration in budget planning. Annual compensation increases are determined based upon the performance evaluation compiled by the President with input solicited from committee chairpersons and other board members. The organization's board approved annual budget for salaries and compensation, and any other increases for cost of living or similar adjustments approved in the annual budget. The last compensation review took place in October 2024. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15b: The Executive Director determines the compensation for key employees. The Executive Director uses independent resources to establish appropriate salaries.”

| IRS990/Desc | 0 | Vans/other clinics: the organization provides primary and preventive care to low-income, uninsured residents of Montgomery County, Maryland at little or no charge, as well as to Medicaid and low-income Medicare enrollees. The program is designed to provide quality healthcare to all residents age 18 and over who face significant financial and other access barriers. Patients are seen regardless of their ability to pay. The majority of patients are between 30 and 65 years of age. Clinics are conducted at various locations - at fixed sites (Briggs Chaney, Rockville) and in mobile medical vans (Aspen Hill, Gaithersburg) - at scheduled times during each week. The clinics are staffed primarily by paid nurse practitioners, nurses, therapists, support personnel, and volunteer physicians. Services are delivered (continued on Schedule O) via in-person and telehealth appointments. Patients can also use some walk-in slots to ensure accessibility. The Organization continues to recruit volunteers for both professional and support staff positions to assist in the delivery of services. |
