“Active members - members currently active with the league. Provisional members - members that are currently seeking membership and are under a provisional period. Sustainer members - members that have reached a determined number of years as an active member and remains involved without all the requirements to maintain an active membership.”

“The nomination committee shall state one candiate for each office to be filed except for president, finance vice presdient and community vice president. The current presdient elect, finance vice president elect, and community vice president elect will succeed to the respective offices. Nominations may be made from the floor as defined in the policies. The officers of the board of directors shall consist of president, president elect, membership vice president, community vice president, community vice president elect, finance vice president, finance vice president elect, communications vice president, fund development vice president, secretary and sustaining advisor. The sustaining advisor shall be appointed to the board of directors by the president annually. She must have served as a board member in a chapter of the association. Any league member in good standing shall be eligible for an elected postition of the board of directors as defined in the policies. Directors shall be elected at a duly noticed general meeting conducted per bylaw article vii and article viii, section 5 of the policies a) only active and senior active members shall vote b) there shall be no proxy or absentee voting c) the votes shall be decided by a majority of those active members present and voting, except where otherwise specified in the bylaws or roberts rules of order. Newly revised directors shall serve a one-year term beginning on june 1.”

“A two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership present and voting shall be required for the following decisions of the governing body 1) changes in annual dues, fees, and fundraising obligations 2) changes to the charter, articles of incorporation, and bylaws amendments.”

“Form 990 is provided to organization for board review and approval prior to filing.”

“Conflicts of interest are disclosed annually in a written statement by each board member as well as disclosed to the board on an on-going basis as they occur, and are appropriately addressed as needed with conflicted members recusing themselves from any votes.”

“Board members are not compensated.”

“Officers are not compensated.”

“All governing documents, policies, and financial statements are available upon request.”
