“The organization consists of members who are academic chairs and other key constituencies within the academic pathology departments in the united states and canada.”

“A copy of the 990 is sent electronically to voting members of the apc council who may review the tax return prior to filing. Members respond to the executive director indicating approval.”

“The executive director collects conflict of interest forms from the members of the governing council and reviews potential conflicts of interest. Each voting member of the governing council signs a "statement of fiduciary responsibility" that requires disclosure of potential conflicts when relevant matters are discussed by the council. When a potential conflict of interest is determined by the executive director, this matter is brought to the attention of the council. If the council determines a conflict of interest exists, the member is recused from discussion and voting on the matter.”
