These officers are elected or approved biennially. Additionally there are eleven (11) members of the advisory board who are past presidents that provide guidance to the executive board.”

“Enforcement of conflicts policy: national conclave is the annual buisness meeting of the girlfriends, inc. National president presides and manages the conduct of the national conclave. The meeting is hosted by a chapter affiliate in the chronological order of their installation. Each national officer provides an annual detailed written report of the duties and responsibilities performed of her office to the chapter affiliate delegate at the meeting. Other reports are presented periodically through the calendar year as required regarding interest conflicts, etc. Prior to the convening of the national conclave, an executive board meeting is held with all of the national officers and advisory board members. The board reviews and approves each officers report. The executive board meeting is held to ensure that the overall organization is in compliance with guidelines and regulations. Each chapter affiliate sends a delegate representative to the national conclave. All national and chapter officers volunteer for their position and as a volunteer do not receive any form of compensation.”

“Governing documents disclosure explanation: the organization will make its governing documents, conflict of interest policy $ financial information available to the public upon request and on a need to know basis. The national executive board and advisory board periodically review and handle matters as it pertains to the non-profit organization. Additional guidance is provided by legal advisory and financial commitees.”
