IRS990/Desc0See Schedule OThe Auxiliary partners with hospital and health care administration tofund many projects and different programs throughout the hospital andhealth care system. Some of the projects that the Auxiliary has beenproud to be a part of are the expansion of the Ambulatory Care Center,renovations to the Temple University Hospital Cafeteria, creation of the reference library at the new Medical School, equipment purchases for the Hybrid Operating Room and the Burn Center and Community Health Worker funding to improve the lives of community members, patient and family members. In addition to providing financial support, the Auxiliary provides support to hospital administration by partnering on hospital wide programs.Our next function within the hospital is fundraising. We have severaldifferent fundraising activities at any time throughout the year. Inaddition to periodic events, the main fundraiser is the Acres of Diamonds Gala. This premiere event is our largest fundraiser.Last, but certainly not least, is the volunteering efforts in the hospital. Following in the path of our Founder, Dr. Russell H. Conwell, the members of the Hospital Services Committee give freely of their time, talent and experience to make the patient's visit more comfortable. Our Auxilians provide service on the Surgery and Intensive Care floor by offering compassion and friendship to patients, families, and friends at a much needed time. Volunteers make rounds providing coffee, tea and magazines for waiting family members and loved ones.
