The board will receive a copy of the form 990 after it has been reviewed by the finance committee and the ceo. The organization's ceo will then sign the 990 that the organization files with the irs.”

“Officers, directors, trustees and key employees must refrain from any private business or professional activities that place them in a position of conflict between their private interests and the interests of the museum. Officers, directors, trustees and key employees will not engage in any private activity which involves use of, or appearance of the use of, offical information or other information gained through their employment by the museum, which is not available to the general public or would not be made available upon request, for private gain for themselves, their families, their friends or business associates, either directly or indirectly. Officers, directors, trustees, and key employees who are not certain whether any particular activity or relationship creates a conflict or potential conflict of interest should discuss the matter with their supervisor or the ceo. The museum requires board members and employees to comply with a conflict of interest statement annually.”
