In addition, the organization has been determined by the internal revenue service not to be a "private foundation" within the meaning of section 509 (a) of the internal revenue code. The organization has evaluated its tax positions and believes all could be sustained upon examination. With few exceptions, the organization is no longer subject to income tax examinations by federal authorities for years before 2020.
