Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

“The foundation has been classified by the internal revenue service as an organization exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. In addition, the foundation qualifies for the charitable contribution deduction under section 170(b)(1)(a) and has been classified as an organization other than a private foundation under section 509(a)(1). U.s. Gaap requires management to evaluate tax positions taken and recognize a tax liability, if the foundation has taken an uncertain tax position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by a government authority. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the foundation and has concluded that as of june 30, 2019 and 2018, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the financial statements. The foundation recognizes accrued interest and penalties associated with uncertain tax positions, if any. There were no income tax related interest and penalties recorded for the year ended june 30, 2019 or 2018.”
