Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

Form 990, Part XII, Line 2C

The board of directors assumes the responsibility of oversight of the audit of the organization's financial statements and the selection of an independent auditor. During the tax year avp contracted with a new independent accounting firm, barbacane, thornton & company llp, to conduct the audit of their financial statements.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. However, income from certain activities not directly related to the organization's tax-exempt purpose may be subject to taxation as unrelated business income. Generally accepted accounting principles prescribe rules for the recognition, measurement, classification, and disclosure in the financial statements of uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken in the organization's tax returns. Management has determined that the organization does not have any uncertain tax positions or associated unrecognized benefits that materially impact the consolidated financial statements or related disclosures. Since tax matters are subject to some degree of uncertainty, there can be no assurance that the organization's tax returns will not be challenged by the taxing authorities and that the organization will not be subject to additional tax, penalties, and interest as a result of such challenge.

Part X - Fs 48 Footnote

Management regularly reviews and evaluates its tax positions taken in previously filed information returns and as reflected in its financial statements, with regard to issues affecting its tax exempt status, unrelated business income, and related matters. It believes that in the event of an examination by taxing authorities, its positions would prevail based upon the technical merits of such positions. Therefore, management has concluded that no tax benefit or liabilities are required to be recognized.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0THE ORGANIZATION IS EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAX UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE.
IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1MANAGEMENT REGULARLY REVIEWS AND EVALUATES ITS TAX POSITIONS TAKEN IN PREVIOUSLY FILED INFORMATION RETURNS AND AS REFLECTED IN ITS FINANCIAL STATEMENTS, WITH REGARD TO ISSUES AFFECTING ITS TAX EXEMPT STATUS, UNRELATED BUSINESS INCOME, AND RELATED MATTERS.
