“Membership in the society is restricted to persons who are or have been in policymaking positions or have demonstrated outstanding achievements in public relations or corporate communications. Each member will be classified as an individual, educator, non-profit, government, retired, life or honorary member.”

“The election of trustees by the membership shall be conducted at the annual meeting each year. The nominating committee will be responsible for ensuring and administering an orderly election process as authorized and directed by the board of trustees.”

“During the arthur w. Page society's first board of trustees meeting in 2017, chairman david samson reminded the trustees of their commitment to the conflict of interest (coi) policy. Each trustee was then asked to complete a conflict of interest (coi) statement. The statement required each trustee to personally affirm that she or he has reviewed the coi policy, understands the policy, and agrees to comply with the policy. Moreover, the statement requests each trustee to disclose information about any business relationships she or he or her/his relative(s) may have with the society. Arthur w. Page society staff sent email follow-up reminders to trustees who do not complete the coi statement onsite, including those who participated in the meeting via teleconference or who were absent.”

“When the president was hired in 2011, the society researched roles, responsibilities and qualifications and, using comparative data for like- sized organizations, provided compensation recommendations to a search committee of the board. The search committee was comprised of members independent of the president. The executive committee considered information obtained regarding the hiring of the president to be current and entered into a contract with mr. Bolton on similar terms, adjusted for differences in qualifications. The search committee and the full board approved the contract. There has been no change to the contract since that time.”

“Committees that lead the page up organization such as the membership committee, member engagement committee, thought leadership committee and professional development committee (230 members). Diverse future is a week-long executive education program for diverse professionals who work for page members (12 participants). Leaders of tomorrow is an evening reception and speaker program series that brings together diverse young professionals and page members for learning and networking (2 events, 40+ participants each). Regional events, which include half-day insight forums as well as regional networking events, bring together members to learn and network around topics of interest and emerging best practices in the profession (15-40 participants). The format places limits on attendance to create an intimate environment that makes the experience truly engaging.”
