Mission

The museum's collection emphasizes the mid atlantic region's unique contribution to flight, but is broad enough to chronicle a general history of aviation, including milatary aviation. The museum's collections are cared for according to established museum practices. Historically accurate aircraft restoration and limited demonstration flying are special missions undertaken by the museum.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Air show participation - insure the preservation of various historical aircraft and educate about their contribution to aviation history. Approximately 150,000 individuals benefitted from this program in 2013.
Activity 3
Museum admissions - educates the public on the contribution vintageaircraft have on aviation history. Approximately 30,000 individualsbenefitted from this program in 2013.
