EDUCATION DAY - EACH YEAR THE ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS AN ALL DAY EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR MEMBERS AND INTERESTED PERSONS. NUMEROUS SPEAKERS PRESENT INFORMATION ON PRODUCTION PRACTICES, PESTICIDE SAFETY, MARKETING AND MEETING GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS.AVERAGE ATTENDANCE IS 223 PERSONS. VIDEO PROJECT - IN 1993 THE ASSOCIATIONS PRODUCED TWO VIDEO PRESENTATIONS. ONE VIDEO FEATURES THE APPLE INDUSTRY AND EMPHASIZES THE HIGH QUALITY FRUIT WHICH IS PRODUCED AND THE PROGRESS GROWERS HAVE MADE IN REDUCING PESTICIDE USE. Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Newsletters - quarterly newsletters are sent to 255 persons. Topics include production practices, legislative issues, migrant regulations, safety and marketing suggestions. Education day - each year the association conducts an all day education program for members and interested persons. Numerous speakers present information on production practices, pesticide safety, marketing and meeting government regulations.average attendance is 223 persons. Video project - in 1993 the associations produced two video presentations. One video features the apple industry and emphasizes the high quality fruit which is produced and the progress growers have made in reducing pesticide use. The second video was made in the spanish language and designed to assist growers in training migrant workers in pesticide safety and meeting compliance with the worker protections standards. The videos are loaned to members. For 59 years the organization has held the apple blossom festival to educate consumers and expand awareness of the fruit industry. Attendance at the event averages 5,000 people.

VIDEO PROJECT - IN 1993 THE ASSOCIATIONS PRODUCED TWO VIDEO PRESENTATIONS. ONE VIDEO FEATURES THE APPLE INDUSTRY AND EMPHASIZES THE HIGH QUALITY FRUIT WHICH IS PRODUCED AND THE PROGRESS GROWERS HAVE MADE IN REDUCING PESTICIDE USE. THE SECOND VIDEO WAS MADE IN THE SPANISH LANGUAGE AND DESIGNED TO ASSIST GROWERS IN TRAINING MIGRANT WORKERS IN PESTICIDE SAFETY AND MEETING COMPLIANCE WITH THE WORKER PROTECTIONS STANDARDS. THE VIDEOS ARE LOANED TO MEMBERS. FOR 59 YEARS THE ORGANIZATION HAS HELD THE APPLE BLOSSOM FESTIVAL TO EDUCATE CONSUMERS AND EXPAND AWARENESS OF THE FRUIT INDUSTRY. ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT AVERAGES 5,000 PEOPLE.
