Effective january 1, 2003, the chapter merged with the central pennsylvania chapter of the american college of surgeons, inc. And changed its name to the keystone chapter, american college of surgeons, inc. The purpose of the chapter is to elevate the standards of surgery and to educate the profession and the public regarding the special training involved in the practice of surgery. In addition, the chapter unites members in their efforts to improve the quality of surgical patient care and provides a medium through which surgical experiences may be presented.

The winning team was recognized with the coveted surgical jeopardy trophy.”
