The organization does not keep exact records of such activity. This is a reasonable estimate of the number of all volunteers who provided services to the organization during the reporting year.

Cooperative Agreement & Maintenance and Operation Agreement

Cooperative agreement on september 8, 2004, millerstown recreational committee entered into a cooperative agreement with greenwood township and millerstown borough under which the parties agree to purchase three parcels totaling approximately 22 acres of land in greenwood township, adjacent to property currently owned and operated by millerstown recreational committee, to be designated as a public park to provide for recreational need of the public. Millerstown recreational committee shall have the exclusive responsibility to provide funds for the purchase of the properties, including settlement costs, and for expenses related to the creation, maintenance and management of a public park. Title to said parcels shall be vested in greenwood township and millerstown borough as tenants in common. Said parcels shall be managed and operated by millerstown recreational committee in conjunction with property currently owned or hereafter acquired by millerstown recreational committee, for the purpose of providing a public park for the benefit of the general public. Maintenance and operation agreement on september 8, 2004, millerstown recreational committee entered into a maintenance and operation agreement with greenwood township and millerstown borough for the intended purpose of designating millerstown recreational committee to exclusively manage, operate, and maintain millerstown recreational committee property and municipal property as described in the aforementioned cooperative agreement. Millerstown recreational committee shall be solely responsible for the funding of the public park, including all costs associated with the maintenance, operation, expansion or rehabilitation of the grounds, parking areas, buildings, equipment, swimming pool facility or any other improvement and/or fixture attached to the land. All funds shall accrue to the benefit of millerstown recreational committee and shall be controlled, disbursed and accounted for by millerstown recreational committee in furthering its mission. Millerstown recreational committee shall be solely responsible for government and other grant applications, and greenwood township and millerstown borough will cooperate fully in the execution of these applications. Millerstown recreational committee shall be liable for the public park and shall indemnify and hold greenwood township and millerstown borough harmless. The parties agree that ownership of permanent improvements to the park property shall become the property of greenwood township and millerstown borough. Greenwood township and millerstown borough agree to adopt any ordinance necessary to give full force and effect of this agreement. This agreement shall remain in force and effect for a period of ninety-nine years and shall be automatically renewed for a like period of 99 years.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT ON SEPTEMBER 8, 2004, MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE ENTERED INTO A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP AND MILLERSTOWN BOROUGH UNDER WHICH THE PARTIES AGREE TO PURCHASE THREE PARCELS TOTALING APPROXIMATELY 22 ACRES OF LAND IN GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP, ADJACENT TO PROPERTY CURRENTLY OWNED AND OPERATED BY MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE, TO BE DESIGNATED AS A PUBLIC PARK TO PROVIDE FOR RECREATIONAL NEED OF THE PUBLIC. MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE SHALL HAVE THE EXCLUSIVE RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE PROPERTIES, INCLUDING SETTLEMENT COSTS, AND FOR EXPENSES RELATED TO THE CREATION, MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF A PUBLIC PARK. TITLE TO SAID PARCELS SHALL BE VESTED IN GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP AND MILLERSTOWN BOROUGH AS TENANTS IN COMMON. SAID PARCELS SHALL BE MANAGED AND OPERATED BY MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE IN CONJUNCTION WITH PROPERTY CURRENTLY OWNED OR HEREAFTER ACQUIRED BY MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING A PUBLIC PARK FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION AGREEMENT ON SEPTEMBER 8, 2004, MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE ENTERED INTO A MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION AGREEMENT WITH GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP AND MILLERSTOWN BOROUGH FOR THE INTENDED PURPOSE OF DESIGNATING MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE TO EXCLUSIVELY MANAGE, OPERATE, AND MAINTAIN MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE PROPERTY AND MUNICIPAL PROPERTY AS DESCRIBED IN THE AFOREMENTIONED COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT. MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FUNDING OF THE PUBLIC PARK, INCLUDING ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE MAINTENANCE, OPERATION, EXPANSION OR REHABILITATION OF THE GROUNDS, PARKING AREAS, BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT, SWIMMING POOL FACILITY OR ANY OTHER IMPROVEMENT AND/OR FIXTURE ATTACHED TO THE LAND. ALL FUNDS SHALL ACCRUE TO THE BENEFIT OF MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE AND SHALL BE CONTROLLED, DISBURSED AND ACCOUNTED FOR BY MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE IN FURTHERING ITS MISSION. MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR GOVERNMENT AND OTHER GRANT APPLICATIONS, AND GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP AND MILLERSTOWN BOROUGH WILL COOPERATE FULLY IN THE EXECUTION OF THESE APPLICATIONS. MILLERSTOWN RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE SHALL BE LIABLE FOR THE PUBLIC PARK AND SHALL INDEMNIFY AND HOLD GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP AND MILLERSTOWN BOROUGH HARMLESS. THE PARTIES AGREE THAT OWNERSHIP OF PERMANENT IMPROVEMENTS TO THE PARK PROPERTY SHALL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP AND MILLERSTOWN BOROUGH.
