Pfda exists to inform and educate the funeral director, the public and government about the value of funeral service and licensed funeral directors on a pre-need, at need and post-need basis.

The board of governors is composed of the district governors, the immediate past president, a member from the quaker state funeral directors association (choosen by that entity), and the officers. The district governors are nominated and appointed by a vote of the member firms within the district.”
