“Members who meet annual requirements and are in good standing, are entitled to vote on matters brought before the organization at its monthly business meetings. In addition, members in good standing are entitled to vote for officers at annual elections.”

“Field Officers and Executive Committee members submit intentions to run for office in September to the Nominating Committee which reviews the qualifications of the individuals and proposes a slate in October business meeting. Nominations from members are received at the November business meeting and reviewed by the Nominating Committee for qualifications. Elections are held at the December business meeting for positions beginning the following January 1 for one year terms.”

“Matters brought forth at monthly business meetings are voted upon at such meeting by voting members present at the meetting.”

“The Form 990 is prepared by the Treasurer and then reviewed by the Assistant Treasurer. After such review, the draft of the Form 990 is reviewed with members of the Executive Committee. The Form 990 is then filed with the IRS by the Treasurer.”

“The organization follows the conflicts of interest policy of Bernards Township; potential instances of conflicts of interest, if any, are discussed with the executive committee.”

“The organization makes its governing documents, conflict of interest policy and tax return available to the public upon a written or email request.”
