To provide clarendon memorial hospital with the funds needed to provide healthcare services and programs for the citizens within the area.

SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 2001, THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION HAS DEFINED ITS MISSION, APPROVED OPERATING POLICIES, IDENTIFIED AND ADDED TO A PROSPECTIVE DONOR BASE, DEVELOPED A REMEMBRANCE GIVING PROGRAM, AND APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED MULTIPLE GRANTS. THE FOUNDATION HAS DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED FIVE ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGNS FOR AREAS IN CLARENDON MEMORIAL SUCH AS, GENERATIONS WOMEN'S CENTER, RADIOLOGY EXPANSION, J. DALTON DUBOSE MEDICAL CENTER, AND A NEW CHAPEL.IN ADDITION, A NAMED GIVING CAMPAIGN AND DOCTOR'S DAY CAMPAIGN WERE DEVELOPED. THE FOUNDATION IS IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING A NEW GIVING OPPORTUNITY THROUGH A SOCIETY GIVING CAMPAIGN AND A GRATEFUL PATIENT PROGRAM.THE EXISTING SPECIAL EVENTS, CYPRESS AFTER FIVE CONCERT SERIES CYPRESS GOLF CLASSIC, CONTINUE TO GROW AND REMAIN SUCCESSFUL, THUS BUILDING FRIENDS OF THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION.THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION HAS HOSTED SEVERAL HEALTH FAIRS AT THE CYPRESS CENTER AND CONTINUES TO PARTNER WITH OTHER CHS DEPARTMENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN HEALTH EVENTS OUTSIDE THE WALL OF CLAREND HEALTH SYSTEM. ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PROGRAMS THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION HAS DEVELOPED IS OUR CLARENDON HEALTH AMBASSADORS. THIS PROGRAM INVITES COMMUNITY CITIZENS TO JOIN THE STAFF OF THE FOUNDATION FOR A SEVEN MONTH HANDS ON, IN-DEPTH LOOK AT OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, BEHIND THE SCENES. WE ARE IN OUR SEVENTH YEAR OF HOSTING THE CLARENDON HEALTH AMBASSADORS.DURING THIS YEAR, THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION PURCHASED TWO AMBULANCES FOR EMS-CYPRESS TRANSPORT RESULTING IN INCREASED EFFICIENCY AND CALL VOLUMES. A CAMPAIGN HAS BEGUN FOR THE LABOR & DELIVERY UNIT OF THE HOSPITAL TO EQUIP THE DEPARTMENT WITH A NITRONOX MACHINE. THIS MACHINE WILL ASSIST MOTHERS BY GIVING THEM AN ALTERNATIVE FOR MEDICATIONS DURING DELIVERY.THE FOUNDATION BOARD IS AN ENERGETIC, KNOWLEDGEABLE GROUP OF COMMUNITY LEADERS THAT HAVE THE ABILITY TO ENSURE STEADY GROWTH AND SUCCESS OF THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION. MEMBERS ARE AS FOLLOWS: TRAVIS MCINTOSH, CHAIRMAN, EDWARD FRYE, VICE CHAIRMAN, BETTY COFFEY, SECRETARY, PAT MCNEIL, TREASURER, RICHARD STOKES, CHS REPRESENTATIVE, LOUIS GRIFFITH, BERYL BACHUS-KEITH, MD, BOARD OF TRUSTEE REPRESENTATIVE, CLEVE DOWELL, BEATRICE RIVERS, RON WINGARD, BILL OSWALD, MARGARET JACKSON AND JAMES DARBY, BOARD OF TRUSTEE REPRESENTATIVE.THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES WILL CONTINUE TO FOCUS ON OPERATIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS. THE FOUNDATION IS IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING A NEW GIVING OPPORTUNITY THROUGH A SOCIETY GIVING CAMPAIGN AND A GRATEFUL PATIENT PROGRAM.THE EXISTING SPECIAL EVENTS, CYPRESS AFTER FIVE CONCERT SERIES CYPRESS GOLF CLASSIC, CONTINUE TO GROW AND REMAIN SUCCESSFUL, THUS BUILDING FRIENDS OF THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION.THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION HAS HOSTED SEVERAL HEALTH FAIRS AT THE CYPRESS CENTER AND CONTINUES TO PARTNER WITH OTHER CHS DEPARTMENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN HEALTH EVENTS OUTSIDE THE WALL OF CLAREND HEALTH SYSTEM. ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PROGRAMS THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION HAS DEVELOPED IS OUR CLARENDON HEALTH AMBASSADORS. THIS PROGRAM INVITES COMMUNITY CITIZENS TO JOIN THE STAFF OF THE FOUNDATION FOR A SEVEN MONTH HANDS ON, IN-DEPTH LOOK AT OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, BEHIND THE SCENES. WE ARE IN OUR SEVENTH YEAR OF HOSTING THE CLARENDON HEALTH AMBASSADORS.DURING THIS YEAR, THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION PURCHASED TWO AMBULANCES FOR EMS-CYPRESS TRANSPORT RESULTING IN INCREASED EFFICIENCY AND CALL VOLUMES. A CAMPAIGN HAS BEGUN FOR THE LABOR & DELIVERY UNIT OF THE HOSPITAL TO EQUIP THE DEPARTMENT WITH A NITRONOX MACHINE. THIS MACHINE WILL ASSIST MOTHERS BY GIVING THEM AN ALTERNATIVE FOR MEDICATIONS DURING DELIVERY.THE FOUNDATION BOARD IS AN ENERGETIC, KNOWLEDGEABLE GROUP OF COMMUNITY LEADERS THAT HAVE THE ABILITY TO ENSURE STEADY GROWTH AND SUCCESS OF THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION. MEMBERS ARE AS FOLLOWS: TRAVIS MCINTOSH, CHAIRMAN, EDWARD FRYE, VICE CHAIRMAN, BETTY COFFEY, SECRETARY, PAT MCNEIL, TREASURER, RICHARD STOKES, CHS REPRESENTATIVE, LOUIS GRIFFITH, BERYL BACHUS-KEITH, MD, BOARD OF TRUSTEE REPRESENTATIVE, CLEVE DOWELL, BEATRICE RIVERS, RON WINGARD, BILL OSWALD, MARGARET JACKSON AND JAMES DARBY, BOARD OF TRUSTEE REPRESENTATIVE.THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES WILL CONTINUE TO FOCUS ON OPERATIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS. REVIEW EXPANDED DONOR CULTIVATION AND RECOGNITION. THE ANNUAL GIVING AND DOCTOR'S DAY CAMPAIGN WILL CONTINUE. OUR CURRENT SPECIAL EVENTS WILL BE MONITORED FOR SUCCESS AND PROFITABILITY.
