Massbioed's mission is to build a sustainable life sciences workforce in the region through educational programs that engage and excite teachers, inspire, and propel students, and illuminate the pathway from the classroom to careers with a focus on expansion, opportunity and diversity.

The foundation has determined that there are no uncertain tax positions which qualify for either recognition or disclosure in the financial statements at december 31, 2020. THE PROGRAM ALSO OFFERS GRANTS FOR LAB EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS. STUDENTS ARE INTRODUCED TO CAREERS THROUGH COLLEGE AND CAREER ENGAGEMENT EXPERIENCES WITH COLLEGES AND COMPANIES AND THROUGH OUR BANK OF VOLUNTEER CAREER AMBASSADORS WHO VISIT SCHOOLS AND MEET WITH STUDENTS REMOTELY AND ON-SITE WHEN POSSIBLE.IN THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR, BIOTEACH PROVIDED 16 WORKSHOPS FOR 149 TEACHERS FROM 83 SCHOOLS. OVER THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR, 94% OF THESE TEACHERS REPORTED INCORPORATING NEW BIOTEACH LABS IN THEIR CLASSROOMS. IN ADDITION, STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN COLLEGE AND CAREER EXPLORATION EVENTS. OUR ACCESS (ALIGNED CURRICULAR & CAREER EXPERIENCES FOR SECONDARY SCIENCE) PROGRAM REACHED 738 STUDENTS, AND OUR EQUIPMENT GRANT AND TOTE (TAKE OUT TRAINING & EQUIPMENT) LENDING PROGRAMS PROVIDED MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT TO 8 SCHOOLS ASSISTING OVER 50 TEACHERS AND REACHING 1,071 STUDENTS.
