“The cfo/controller is responsible for reviewing the 990 after a draft is prepared. It is done by making sure that the 990 is representative of the financial statements for the year in question.”

The board does this by taking a comparative survey of the industry. When this is ascertained, the board will settle on how much, the effective date, and then vote on a resolution to that effect. The resolution, if passed, gets forwarded to human resources for processing.”

“The Corporation is exempt from Federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and state and local income taxes. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the Corporation and has concluded that as of December 31, 2023 and 2022, there were no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken. Accordingly, no interest or penalties related to uncertain tax positions have been accrued in the accompanying financial statements.”
