Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is a non-profit entity as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is exempt from federal and state income taxes. Accordingly, there is no provision for income taxes. The organization is required to file form 990, return of organization exepmt from income tax, with the internal revenue service and the new jersey charities registration & investigation form (cri). The organization follows the income tax standard for uncertain tax positions. This standard had no impact on the organization's financial statements. The organization's income taz return are subject to review and examination by the federal and state authorities. The organization is not aware of any activities that would jeopardize its tax exempt status or any activities that are subject to tax on unrelated busness income taxes.

THE LIBRARY WILL PHYSICALLY SPAN CHS AND CMS IMPACTING 800-2,000 STUDENTS. THIS GRANT WILL FUND UPGRADES TO EQUIPMENT THAT WILL EMPOWER STUDENTS WITH ACCESS TO STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY, ENSURING THEY ARE WELL-EQUIPPED WITH THE SKILLS DEMANDED BY THE MODERN MEDIA LANDSCAPE. EXPOSURE TO INDUSTRY-STANDARD EQUIPMENT WILL BETTER PREPARE STUDENTS FOR FUTURE CAREERS IN MEDIA PRODUCTION, PROVIDING A COMPETITIVE EDGE IN COLLEGE ADMISSIONS AND THE JOB MARKET. THE NEW VIDEO/TV EQUIPMENT WILL NOT BE CONFINED TO THE CLASSROOMS.
