Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Education and promotion of soccer in the surrounding communities. Emphasis is on learning the basics of the soccer skills and game rules as well as good sportsmanship.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
For the Fall 2013 and Winter 2013-2014 soccer season, MNSA provided recreational soccer development programs to approximately 900 children in our community, ranging in age from 3 to 17 years old. Registration fees for MNSA programs range from $35 -$225 per child, depending on the age of the child and the program they choose. The registration fees paid are designed to cover the provision of adequate playing fields, well lit at night (when necessary) as well as uniforms, coaching, officiating, training, insurance & recognition awards. We seek to repeat this, and expand our reach whenever possible, for the next fiscal year/soccer season.$0$85,050

Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 8

MNSA has entered into a Youth Soccer Partnership with the Philadelphia Union (MLS team). As a partner with this group, we purchase season tickets for Phila Union home games which we, in turn, offer to our players/members at a small discount in order to give players a chance to attend professional-level soccer games. Some of the tickets are sold (below face value) in an attempt to recover a portion of our outlay for the tickets. The "other revenue" indicated here is the proceeds from these ticket sales which helps, in part, to defray the out-of-pocket costs that MNSA incurs to purchase these tickets. Some of these tickets are also donated to the soccer community to promote the overall sport of soccer.
