Mission

Vineyard nursing association is a nonprofit, premier home care provider whose mission is to provide compassionate, high quality, and state of the art care for patients and families with acute chronic, or advanced illnesses. The vineyard nursing association is committed to: providing skilled nursing, restorative and other therapeutic services and homemaker/home care aide services on a part time intermittent basis; assisting in evaluation, promoting, educating, and maintaining the health and welfare of individuals in the communities of martha's vineryard and nantucket; and promoting cooperation and collaboration among agencies and providers to improve the health and welfare of the community.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The association follows the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes standard, which requires the association to report uncertain tax positions, related interest and penalties, and to adjust its assets and liabilities related to unrecognized tax benefits and accrued interest and penalties accordingly. As of december 31, 2013, the association determined that there are no material unrecognized tax benefits to report. The association does not expect that the amounts of unrecognized tax benefits will change significantly within the next twelve months. The association files informational returns in the united states (federal) and massachusetts (state) jurisdictions. These returns are generally subject to examination by tax authorities for the last three years.
