“The association has more than 120,000 members. 1) np members can vote for state, regional, and national office positions. 2) licensed np student members can vote for state, regional, and national office positions. 3) career starter members can vote for state, regional, and national office positions. 4) student members can vote for the state liaison position in their state. 5) retired members can vote for state, regional, and national office positions.”

“During october, individuals nominate themselves for available state, regional, and national positions within aanp leadership (i.e., for state liaisons, board of director roles, and nomination council roles). The individuals are all veted, and the final slate of candidates is then sent to the bod for approval. Once the slate is approved, candidates are introduced online to membership. Membership votes electronically over two weeks in march. Aanp uses survey ballot systems (sbs) to conduct this electronic vote. Once the vote is tallied by sbs, sbs returns the results back to aanp who then distributes the results to membership.”
