The public employees federation retirees afl/cio exists to promote the welfare of its members by representing them with respect to all terms and conditions of retirement. The pef retirees shall support and defend all interest of state retirees, including but not limited to securing economic advantage, organizing and uniting in this organization all new york state retirees, cooperating with and assisting other labor organizations or groups whose objectives are consistent with those of the organization, promoting the aims and objectives of the public employees federation, strengthening and safeguarding this organization by every means so that it may carry out its purposes, objectives and obligations. Utilizing in every way the property and funds of this organization in order to achieve its purposes and objectives and perform it obligations, and for such other purposes directly or indirectly furthering the interests of this organization and its members.
