“The different membership levels include firm membership, honorary membership, and life membership. Firm membership has voting rights, while honorary and life membership do not have voting rights. All members get access to online forum, quarterly newsletter, can attend the annual meeting, and listing in directory. Also, an individual membership is available for employees of member firms that gives individuals a newsletter subscription.”

“Members govern the actions of the organization through electing the board of directors.”

“The return will first be reviewed by the executive director and the secretary/treasurer. After they have reviewed the return it will go to the entire board for their approval and then file the return.”

“All board members are required to sign an annual declaration of any conflicts of interest. Any conflicts brought to attention of the board are then reviewed on a case by case basis. The board decides what action is appropriate including abstention, recusing the member from the meeting or any other action deemed appropriate.”

“Consistent with the requirements of section 6104(d) of the internal revenue code and regulations thereunder, copies of the irs form 990 and application for exemption shall be made available, upon request, in a timely manner, and subject to the charges permitted by law to any individuals who request it. Other governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements are made available to the individuals requesting them by making an appointment with the executive director. Board members have online access to all policies and procedures through a secured area of the organization's website.”
