CURRENTLY, THE THIRD TRUSTEE IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER. SUCH TRUSTEES REGULARLY PARTICIPATE AT BOARD MEETINGS AND VOTE ON ALL DECISIONS OF THE BOARD, INCLUDING THOSE INVOLVING MANAGEMENT OF INVESTMNTS AND THE AWARD OF GRANTS TO THE UNIVERSITY'S JAMES P. WILMOT CANCER INSTITUTE IN SUPPORT OF CANCER RESEARCH. THROUGH ITS TRUSTEES, THE UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER ANNUALLY SUBMITS WRITTEN PROPOSALS TO THE BOARD, AND HOLDS SUCH CONSULTATIONS AND MEETINGS AS NECESSARY TO DEFINE, DELINEATE AND PRIORITZE THE VARIOUS AREAS OF CANCER RESEARCH TO BE PURSUED AT THE UNIVERSITY THROUGH THE SUPPORT PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZATION. IN ADDITION, THE UNIVERSITY ANNUALLY SUBMITS A DETAILED REPORT CONCERNING THE UNIVERSITY'S CANCER RESEARCH PROGRAMS SUPPORTED BY THE ORGANIZATION DURING THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING YEAR. THE ORGANIZATION HAS AWARDED THREE TO NINE FELLOWSHIPS ANNUALLY TO TRAIN AND SUPPORT QUALIFIED DOCTORS IN THE FIELD OF CANCER RESEARCH AT THE UNIVERSITY SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 1980 AND HAS SUPPORTED VARIOUS OTHER CANCER RESEARCH INITIATIVES AT THE UNIVERSITY.
