Lake Champlain Cancer Research Org. Inc. accounts for uncertainty in income taxes by recognizing tax positions in the financial statements when it is more-likely-than-not the positions will be sustained upon examination by tax authorities. As of December 31, 2019, the Organization believes that it has appropriate support for the income tax positions taken on its tax returns and, therefore, believes that it has no uncertain tax positions that would have a material impact on the financial statements. As of December 31, 2019, the tax years that remain subject to examination by taxing authorities begin with 2016.
