“Governing board members are either elected by the membership or appointed by the board of directors. The club's by-laws limits the number of board members to twelve. Presently there are twelve board members with zero open vacancies. All board members must be members in good standing of the organization.”

“Day to day management decisions are not subject to the members approval. The board cannot enter into major transations, ie borrow money or sign a contract for major construction or renovation of the club without the members approval. For major transactions, a special membership meeting is called and the attending members can vote on the business brought to that meeting.”

“The president, financial secretary and treasurer review the form 990 for accuracy. The form 990 is available to the other board members to review.”

“All members fo the board of directors serve the club in a voluntary capacity and none are compensated for their time.”

“The board sets the salary rates for the club manager, assistant manager and swim coaches. The club is a member of the cherry hill association of pools (chap). There are twelve members of chap and the salary information of the chap members is public knowldege.”

“All members of the club are entitled to receive the club's by-laws and rules and regulations when they join. All non-members may see the documents upon written request. The 990 is available to all members and non-members upon written request.”
