“A group home in red bank, nj for ten adolescent girls who are unable to live in their own homes due to significant and longstanding personal or family issues. The group home helps young women shape an independent future in a home away from home. The girls live together in a warm, attractive setting where they interact with each other and supportive adults. Staffed twenty-four hours a day by professional counselors, the residence provides a stable and affirming environment in which girls prepare to return to their homes or independent living. The girls attend the local public school or an appropriate alternative school, share household chores, hold part-time jobs, participate in community service projects, socialize with friends and enjoy a variety of planned social and recreational activities. “The kateri programs offer year-round educational and recreational activities for children and families. Kateri environmental center kateri environmental center, founded in 1979, provides unique environmental education opportunities for people of all ages. Kateri day camp approximately 175 children ages 5 through 13 from low income families enjoy a safe, wholesome summer camp experience as they explore our 260-acre campus at kateri day camp. Our camp is grounded in the philosophy of respect for ourselves, each other and the world around us. Activities: daily swims sports arts & crafts nature hikes and activities and more over 95% of our campers are eligible to receive meals through the usda summer food service program. Staff: our professional staff includes certified teachers, water safety instructors and social workers. Transportation: kateri provides free bus transportation to and from many areas of monmouth county.”
